TERMS OF SALE
  1. This is an  AUCTION, NOT AN ON-APPROVAL SALE.  Each lot has both an estimated value (in parenthesis) and a minimum bid which is the lowest acceptable bid for the lot.  The highest bidder will be the successful purchaser; in the case of a tie bid, the earlier bidder will be the buyer.  A buyer's premium of 5% will be added to all purchases .
  2. All bid sheets MUST BE SIGNED AND INCLUDE A TELEPHONE NUMBER.  WE ENCOURAGE PHONE BIDS, however they will not be executed unless confirmed in writing by mail or by fax. Bidders are responsible for their errors on all submitted bids.  Please check carefully before submitting. 
     
  3. Bidders wishing to check their bid standings may do so by phone  at anytime until 12:00 noon on the date of closing.  Successful bidders will be notified by mail at which time payment is due.  Lots will be mailed upon receipt of payment.  Personal checks subject to clearance.  
  4. Increments in bidding will be as follows:
  Up to $149 increments of $10.00 
$500 to $999 increments of $30.00
  $150-349 increments of $15.00 
$1000 to $1999 increments of $50.00
  $350 to $499 increments of $20.00
$2000 and over increments of $100.00
    
    5.  All material is guaranteed genuine. In the case of a dispute, we require a statement
         in writing from an expert outside of the commercial realm.  All sales are final after 30
         days  from date of purchase. Certificates of authenticity if requested can be
          furnished with a  photo of the item for a charge of $7.50 per lot.

Purchases over $5000. postpaid.  For orders shipped outside the USA and Canada, postage will be billed according to country of destination and item.  Shipments will be insured for the maximum allowed amount relative to the value.  Where no insurance is available or the value exceeds the insurance limit, or if cutomer requests no insurance, risk of damage or loss will be with the buyer.  Payment must be made in US funds in the form of an international money order, bank wire transfer or the preferred method a WESTERN UNION TRANSER.  In the case of damage or loss, when the package has been insured. reimbursement to the buyer will be made when we are paid by the US Postal Service.

   7.  A lot not returned within 5 days of receipt, VIA INSURED MAIL, is considered SOLD. 
       
LATE  REMITTANCE FOR PURCHASES CONSTITUTES JUST CAUSE TO ABROGATE RETURN
        PRIVILEGES.   ANY ALTERING THE CONDITION OF THE PURCHASE ABROGATES THE 
        RETURN PRIVILEGE.  If for any reason merchandise is received damaged, please 
        contact us BEFORE TAKING ANY  ACTION otherwise we cannot assume responsibility 
        for any loss.
  1. New Jersey residents will have 7% sales tax added to their invoice.

  2. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card.  Phone bids must be followed with pencil rubbing of card. Mail or faxed bids using charge card, please include pencil rubbing.

  3. Buyer agrees that in no event will the liability of Colosseum Coin Exchange,  as a result of any claim made by purchaser, exceed the purchase price actually paid.  Buyer also agrees that since grading is highly subjective contrary opinions do not constitute a basis for return beyond the conditions enumerated above.
